VET

Vocational Education & Training (VET) programs qualify as Units towards successful completion of the
VCE and a score/percentage towards the student’s ENTER as well as providing qualification in nationally accredited training certificates. They provide a pathway into TAFE programs as credit is given for any of the training modules which have been completed.
The VET courses aims to train students to meet the standards and skills required in industry. They replicate the work environment as far as possible, giving students access to the most modern equipment. All teachers are highly qualified with relevant industry assessment qualifications.
The College offers a wide range of VET programs conducted in conjunction with the Mullum Cluster of schools. These programs are available to students at Years 11 and 12. Currently, one of these courses – VET Fashion Design – is offered at the College.
An important part of undertaking a VET subject is the work placement component.
