Pathways

Pathways
The Curriculum at Years 7 and 8 is made up of a common course for all students in order to ensure that they are able to follow whichever pathway is most suitable for them in the later years of schooling. During Year 9 students begin to follow their interests through the selection of Units in the elective program.
Year 10
In Year 10 all students participate in work experience which enables them to gain an insight into the world of work. Some students are able to select to undertake units from a range of VCE studies in order to get a head start on their senior years.
Years 11 and 12
Pathways begin to diverge as students undertake Years 11 and 12. For those students who are aiming for University entrance or other further studies, the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is available. The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) is the best option for those students who are looking to an apprenticeship or full time employment at the end of their schooling.
Students enrolled in either certificate can undertake a course a Certificate II or III in a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course.
Careers
The Careers Counsellors assist students in the process of moving from the College to further study and work. Parents are invited to be part of the process of counselling and assistance.
There are three phases which focus on the individual's needs, talents, goals and dreams with respect to careers counseling:
A practical phase - Work Experience
A theoretical phase - Career Assessment
An individual phase - Individual Career Counselling
