Year 8
In Year 8, students continue a broad study of all disciplines. The College consolidates the skills and knowledge developed in Year 7, while expanding a range of options to better cater to students' individual needs. Year 8 students choose to specialize in one of the three languages [Italian, German or Indonesian] that they have experienced in Year 7. Students develop a sense of personal identity and belonging and begin to consider complex issues. The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for the pastoral care of all students in that homeroom.
Camp
Year 8 students take part in a 2 day city experience camp in the Melbourne CBD. It is a shared experience by all students and staff which aims to enhance pastoral interaction. The students will have the opportunity to experience, appreciate and enjoy the sights, landmarks, parks and historical buildings of their capital city; Melbourne! They visit MCG, Queen Victorian Market, IMAX, The Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne Zoo and Eureka Tower.
Reflection Days
Each home group in Year 8 will experience a day out from school to spiritually reflect together. The aim of this day is to explore and further discover personal Identity, Team work and Communication. Students participate in different activities throughout the day together followed by a liturgy.
