Community Development Commitee
The scope of this committee is fairly broad as it considers matters such as advertising, social events, publicity and the alumni, to name but a few areas. The membership of the committee reflects its community focus with both parents and staff members represented, including the Assistant Principal-Head of 11/12 Campus who chairs the meetings and the Principal. The committee meets six times a year on a Wednesday evening; a subcommittee is usually formed to fine tune organisation of the Social Evening which has taken the shape of Trivia Evenings and a Wine and Cheese tasting function over the years. The social evening has also afforded the opportunity for the broader college community to support the college production with funds raised being directed towards defraying the cost of the production. Where appropriate the committee makes recommendations to the board, with such recommendations addressing points such as procuring new billboards or producing a DVD about the school. The fact that the committee considers a wide range of matters associated with the school adds interest and variety to committee discussions.
