EISM (Eastern Independent Schools of Melbourne)


Emmaus is part of the Eastern Independent Schools of Melbourne sport association ( 21 Colleges) whose mission is to facilitate the conduct of quality sporting carnivals and mid-week competitive sport in the eastern region of Melbourne for the benefit of the students of member schools. It is recognised as the premier independent schools’ sporting competition in the eastern region of Melbourne. Inter-school activities are arranged and entered into in order to cultivate friendship, goodwill and a spirit of sportsmanship and comradeship. 
Emmaus students who excel at sport are encouraged to join our teams and represent us at these major EISM Carnivals against other EISM Members Schools in these events:

  • SWIMMING Term 1  Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre
    ATHLETICS Term 2 Melbourne Olympic Park
    FUTSAL Term 2   Vikings Futsal Competition at Oakleigh Indoor Centre
    GOLF Term2 Eastwood Golf Course
    CROSS COUNTRY Term 3 Ruffey Lake Park, Doncaster
    SURF Term 3  Pt Leo Surf Beach

EISM Mid-Week Eastern Sport

Emmaus is also associated with mid-week team representative sport competitions against other member schools.

EISM- Interstate Trips and the GISA Games


Interstate Trips offered to Senior Students for our EISM Association Representative matches in Boys Basketball and Girls Netball against interstate schools. At Year 9&10 we have  or EISM Association Representative matches against the GISA (Gippsland Independent Sport Association) for Girls in Hockey, Netball and Soccer and for Boy in AFL, Soccer and Basketball

YEAR 7 & 8 EISM SPORT

At Year 7 (Monday afternoon)& 8 (Tuesday afternoon) in semester two all students have the opportunity to participate in wide range of sports for both boys and girls.

GIRLS Sports played:
Basketball, Netball (A & B), Hockey & Table Tennis (A & B)     
Term 4
BOYS Sports played:
Cricket, Volleyball (A & B), Hockey & Tennis (A & B)
