Sport

Emmaus College has an extensive sport program from Year 7 to VCE. This include a House Sport program, an  EISM (Eastern Independent Schools of Melbourne) program plus some Victorian  Sport events.

House Sport

All students who come to Emmaus are allocated a Sport House:

RICE (green)-         Edmund Rice- Founder of the Christian Brothers
CHAVOIN (red) –  Jeanne Marie Chavoin – Founder of the Marist Sisters
COLIN (blue)-        John Claude Colin- Founder of the Marist Fathers
MORE (gold)-       Saint Thomas More- Statesman and Scholar

As part of the House Sport program each student can take part in three major sport competitions; 
Swimming (Term 1 start) held at Nunawading  Aqualink, 
Athletics (Term1 end) held at the Bill Sewart Athletics Track
Cross Country (Term 2 end) held on the Vermont South Campus
Our students compete against each other gaining points for their participation so that the House with the greatest points wins the annual House trophy or House Shield. As part of our Student Leadership program each House has a male and female student captain

Victorian Sport events

Emmaus enters individual students and teams to takes part in a number of Victorian Sport major events. We enter teams in Victorian Schools Netball, Cycling, Athletics, Cross Country, Race Walking.
