Burwood Year 9 Campus

The Burwood Campus is located on Warrigal Road in Burwood, next door to St Benedict’s Church and parish Primary School. The Campus accommodates some 220 students in Year 9 in an exciting program which is called Y9@E. While the Burwood Campus is small in size it offers a range of facilities that complement the teaching and learning program and provides some recreational spaces.
The Burwood Campus has functional Science laboratories which area also used for Systems. A fully equipped kitchen allows for Food Technology to be taught as part of the Year 9 program and a Hall that can seat two hundred at ground level and a further one hundred and twenty five in a mezzanine area. The Hall serves as a gathering area the year level as well as being a wet weather alternative, and for activities such as concerts, drama performances, sport, SRC initiatives, displays and exams. 
There is a fully equipped Textiles room and a variety of Art subjects and Visual Communication and Design are also accommodated at the Campus. Two computer rooms containing twenty five computers each are used when specialised computer access is required. All classrooms have either electronic whiteboards or data projectors installed.
The site also provides a small gymnasium for staff and student use at lunchtime, after school and for Physical Education classes; a basketball court is also used for Physical Education and provides a recreation area for students at recess and lunchtime. The Green Area of the Campus is a passive recreation area containing seats and tables under the shade provided by large trees. Students are able to use the asphalt area at the front of the school for more active pursuits such as kicking a football or cricket. The campus is well serviced by both charter and public buses, and a tram line which is only a few minutes’ walk from the college.
